University of Wisconsin La Crosse
The University of Wisconsin–La Crosse is (UWL) a public university in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Established in 1909, it is a leading comprehensive university as part of the UW System offering bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees.
UWL is composed of four schools and colleges (the College of Business Administration; the College of Science and Health; the College of Arts, Social Sciences, & Humanities; and a School of Education) offering 102 undergraduate programs, 31 graduate programs, and 2 doctoral programs. It has over 85,000 alumni across the U.S. and 57 countries.
In 2021, U.S. News & World Report ranked UWL the top comprehensive university in the UW System for the second consecutive decade. Nationally recognized programs include occupational therapy, physical therapy, and physician assistant offerings at the graduate level. UWL also offers a top ranked archaeology and anthropology undergraduate degree program, the only one in the Midwest and one of few nationally.
As of 2020, UWL was ranked as the 2nd best public university in Wisconsin by stateuniversity.com.
Engineering dual degree partnerships
UW–La Crosse partners with the University of Wisconsin–Madison, in a program that allows students to complete three years of study at UWL before transferring to the partnership university for two years to complete the science or engineering portion of a dual degree.
